Default Finally!!!

After a long wait I have finally got my 2004 crossbow buck back. I shot him on December 3, 2004 and picked him up today. I know it is not the biggest buck in the bush but it was decent and I always wanted my own deer head so I got it done.

I am waiting on a plaque for the back and have to get it put on but brought it home anyways.

What do ya think?

The red in his nose is a reflection off my shirt.

Nice buck. Congrats Spiffy! Looks like your taxidermist did a nice job but I guess he'd better be good when he takes that long!

Thanks guys. He really is amazing and it is hard to tell from the pictures. To me they don't do it justice. The only problem is that he takes a very long time. My brother in law shot his 12pointerabout 2 weeks after mine. His rack is in the taxidermists shed and his cape in the freezer. Needless to say... it's going to be a while yet.[&:]

That's a great looking deer, even if he isn't the biggest one in the bush! I have never got a mount like that, so I wouldn't know how long it takes...did the same guy do the other mount you can see in the second picture??

Congrats... Hey 95+% of hunters would be super happy with a deer like that, I know I would. It is an interesting rack too with those little kickers. With the mount now there is no chance you will ever forget that deer!

Nice buck, It looks like a smaller version of DD's, narrow and starting to go high. And it sucks at how long some of the guys take to do mounts. who's nice buck is that in the background? Congrats!!!
