There is only one name to know in production 1911 pistols and that is Kimber.
I have owned a Colt, shot several more Colts and Springfield, but my favorite
is the Kimber.
Wow, lots of Kimber fans around here...

I agree, great site. But read more than only the Kimber forum. Try
the Colt forum, where you'll find different opinions, like this one:
