Default XD40 review!

I just handled and shot a XD40 for the first time yesterday when i was delivering one to a customer of mine that had purchased one from my online gun store ( http://www.RMPrecision.net ). He was local so i didnt mind making a local delivery. MAN as soon as i pulled this gun out of the case it DEMANDED attention! the exact gun was a XD40 3" Sub-Compact. It came very well equiped for under $500!

Gun case included...
XD40
All the usual paperwork / LIFETIME warranty
2 clips (1 9rd clip and 1 12 round clip) plus holds 1 in chamber.
Gun has accessory rail on it.
Gun lock with XD logo
Hard plastic XD belt holster and XD belt 2 clip holster for other hip.
and a Quick Loader.

The Gun was EXTREMELY easy and well built. Makes holding a Glock seem like a "toy". It shot VERY accurately and had a NICE feel to the recoil, kinda like a smooth slide action instead of the normal "jerky" recoil you get with most sub-compacts or glocks.

There is NO DOUBT in my mind that the XD is the "glock" of the future!

How are the folks at Springfield Armory doing? They had a pretty nasty flood last week. From the photos I saw, it looked like they had at least a foot or more of water in their plant...

Well the flood won't hurt the XD's, they are made in Croatia.

I'm not quite sure why that was so funny but it was.

The XD has been made now for 8 or so years by Springfield Armory and as the HS2000 since 1991 by HSARMS and you are just now handling and shooting one as a dealer?

duckbutter - you may want to look at my Taurus PT1911 post on this forum. Its obvious you are ignorant of the new Taurus line of products and have never owned one.
