Remington SPR18 ??? Russian made
I just pick up one to day in 243 win: the guy had about 10 rounds threw it metal to wood finish looks good tight action on the break also came with a set of millet rings $175.00
I don't think it pallet wood there no gloss finish on it has a nice black walnut grain
I also seen a few on web pages that show the action in chrome mine is blue on blue
The gun is like new not a mark on it hope it will shoot
I wonder what the barrel twist is on the 243 cal.?
I can see the trigger is not bad but not great any one yet try to work on improving to a lighter trigger pull weight.
I also see another down fall as far as the rail that scope rings are mounted to not much movement for scope eye relief I think the way to go it to re-cut the stock for a shorter L.O.P

Just brought a .308 home last week. Had difficulty with the scope options and found a CRICKET 4 power with the correct bases for this rifle. Problem is you have to lean into the scope an inch to an inch and a half to get full view. Rifle shot a 3.5 group @ 100yds with iron sights, I went to the range today and fine tuned the scope (used a laser bore sight at home, first) after 3 shots was placing 3 rounds in a one inch group. Incidentally I also purchased 440 rounds of 7.62 NATO for $159 and used these rounds at the range, both times. In short, for under $250 I'll take the Baikal every chance I get. You want to sell your .243 at a profit, email me. PS, I also have Ruger #1s in .280, 338; and Mossberg SS1 in .223. Love them singles.

nope I think I will keep it I can say it was getting close to become a tomato stake in the wife garden.
I cut the stock added a new recoil pad, drop the trigger to 2 1/2lbs
I pick up a base mount off of e bay made for the 11 MM rail but did improve on by re-taping the treads to 6/48.
I also added a extra screw so the rail has 4 total
The rear top set screw I countersunk into the action rail. The scope will not move.
I had problem at first with light hits but found I was setting the shoulder brass to far back but this gun will shoot
