Went to a show today and looked at the new Knight KP1. Ihave been very interested in purchasing a TC Encore, but was talked out of it here on the forum in another thread. The KP1 is very nice lookingand is desinged along the same lines as the Encore ie. interchangable barrels.

Anyone have any experience or know anything about this rifle. It looks a lot easier to change out the barrels and is also about $100 cheaper than the Encore and has Green Mountain barrels.

I have an encore and am tickled with it. The only things I have done to it was a trigger job and oversize pivot pin. I would go with encore just because I KNOW it's going to be around whereas the kp1 might not last very long.

Based on what I saw Knight spent some time designing that rifle right. Encore is not even in the same league.Has an exceptional trigger, strong lockup and easy to completely field strip and much much better ergonomics.Encore benefits from big time TV advertising and bought off gun writers.
