I like the look of the S&W and was going to buy one but when I started doing research on reviews I repeatedly heard that the trigger was far to heavy and severly effected the accuracy. Though I never shot one I read a hundred reviews and this was the biggest complant.

The trigger on the S&W is very heavy. I had one. A SW40VE. Ive never shot the Taurus 24/7 Pro but my dad has a Taurus PT-111 that shoots great.

Here is a great video which answers a lot of questions about the 24/7. If I were buying one.........this would be my pick.

I also had the S&W 40VE Sigma, real heavy on the trigger. Just sold it last week.

I had never so much as LOOKED at a Sigma, but the guy in the lane next to me at the range today let me shoot 1 mag with his 9mm. The trigger was just ridiculous - WOW! Incredibly heavy, with an obscene amount of travel. And naturally, he liked my Sig 226 so much he wasn't really keen on giving it back.

I can't comment on the Taurus, but I was incredulous about the Sigma's trigger. It was far & away the worst I've ever felt.

I've shot both and the triggers on the sigma series are terrible-go with the taurus.

I just bought the Taurus in 40 cal.. The trigger is what I kept hearing as a huge issue on the Sigma.. I found the Taurus at Academy for 329.00.. Haven't shot it yet though..
