I live in Raleigh NC and have had a hard time finding a stainless TC Encore rifle, I prefer a .243. Any suggestions? I went to a gun show this morning where there were several dozen gun dealers and not one in theshow of any calibre. Thanks.

Gunbroker.com has plenty of them also. Check with your local wally world, they may be able to order it.

To each his own but I had an Encore in 7-08 that didn't shoot worth a darn. I can't argue about T/C's customer service. I sent it back twice and they supposedly gave it a going over and found nothing wrong. A lot of people like them and maybe I got a fluke but the best I could get with several different bullet/powder combos was about 2". Not good enough for me. I ended up trading that rifle for a Browning A-bolt in the same chambering.
IMO the Ruger #1 is a much better single shot. Although the Encore has the advantage of swapping out barrels.

I can't argue that a Ruger #1 is a better rifle, cause they are, in many ways!! The Encores barrels seem to be somewhat picky on the ammo they like? But once you find that sweet spot they do shoot very well. My experience with them?
