Remington 597 in 22LR

Just looking fora review of this gun,

And if anyone knows the difference between the base model, the LS, the LSS, ect,

No difference between those two except the stocks. One is your synthetic and the other is laminated. other than that....same free float barrel. I got a 22 mag in the laminated heavy barrel and am very pleased with it all around.

I think 4Buck is right. Lots of info over at rimfirecentral.com. They have a whole lot of info and tech advise on the 597. I have one in 17HMR

Good luck if you get one... The springs in the magazines are too weak and it's not uncommon for the shells to get stuck on not load or cause a jam...

I looked at getting one but after reading fifty or so reviews I decided to go with the Ruger 10/22. The main problem I read about was jamming usually with every mag. I got the 22 inch stainless barrel on my 10/22 and it is super accurate and I haven't had a problem yet.
