Scope For 22 Magnum ?
#1
I need to put a scope on a couple of 22 magnums.
One is a marlin model 788 and the other is a marlin model 25 Both are bolt action.
I was thinking of Busnell 3X9X32 mm made for rimfire rifles.

There's MUCH better scopes. Rimfire scopes are adjusted at factory to be paralax free at 50 yards, whereas scopes meant for centerfire rifles are adjusted for 100 yards. There are 2exceptions to this,1 is leupold scopes are adjusted to 150 yards, and paralax adjustable objective can be adjusted to whatever range the scope's design limitations are. This is where we come to "EFR" scopes=extended focus range. now that I said that,my main scopes would be,in this order-leupold 3x-9xao efr, weaver rimfire 3x-9x ao,nikon or weaver 4x-16x ao,lastly SUPRIZE!!!!!!! bsa 4x-16x ao.

I have a regular Bushnel 3-9 on my 22 Mag and it works very well. You dont need a high dollar scope on a gun like that that has no recoil to abuse it. I would go with your choice or i also kinda like the BSA scopes for my small caliber rifles. They are in the same price range and see to be a little clearer to me.

While need and want are subjective, you CANNOT deny that with top notch quality equipment, you will have more self confidence that leads to being able to shoot more accurately!

I think it's baiting and would not really want to use it any more than I would sit on a box of apples.
I just don't want to pay more for the scope than I paid for the gun.

Mostly what I can afford.
I do like the choces you had.
I haven't made up my mind yet, I just wanted to see all the options.
Thank you.
