A small dealer in my neighborhood had a 308 Winchester. He said he could let it go for $900. I paid $875 for my LongMaster classic, but it is a couple of year's old. The fellow who had it was in Fairmont, WV. If you are interested let me know, I willl get you his number. They could have went up?? I have not priced one in a while. Tom.

I'd skip over the Tikka and the Kimber and get a Browning A-Bolt

sorry, had to stir the pot up a bit.

I have 2 Tikkas, both shoot extremely well. I don't have a Kimber, or know anyone that has one. From all the reading I've done on them, they seem to be a heckuva gun.

an a-bolt over a tikka,NEVER!!!!!! get the tikka, the kimber won't shoot any better and will cost twice as much.
people complain about the tikka plastic stock and clip, but they both work very well. i have a t3 in 270win out of the box it was around 1/2in at 100yds. at 585.00 its the best buy on the market.

If you are going to spend that much for the Kimber get a SAKO Finnlight. The Remington or Browning would make a good table leg!For the money Tikka T3 best rifle. If you don't like the black stock have it camo'ed at Bell & Carlson for $65.

Tikka hands down! I have shot some Kimbers and I chose a T3 Lite over them all. Nothing beats the smooth action and crazy accuracy.Tikka=

A-bolt over tikka everytime!!!!. However, I would rather have a tikkathan kimber. Ive had a tikka before, it shot well and I loved the action. I've never shot a kimber before, but I looked atoneWhen I was at gander mountain the other day. Ithought the kimbers were the roughest bolt I've ever handled, even more so than a ruger.

Well my Remington table legs shoot pretty darn good with 1/2" groups and did not have to pay for that 1moa.

I'm sure Tikka's are great guns, but just don't accidently drop them on their cheap plastic magazine. If the magazine cracks on a hunt, they would be about as usefull as a table leg.

By the way, I have a Remington 700xcr in .30-06 with a Sightron 3-12x 42mm Big Sky scope that I absolutely love.

I'd reccommend you don't drop your gun in any event or you may have trouble than a broken clip..those plastic clips are pretty tough however

you'd still be able to shoot at least once, how many do you need?
