Just for the record the 30-06 out performs the .207 and that's why the .207 is always compared to the 30-06.

Yeah, this has been beat to death. And the same subject comes up everywhere - forums, deer camp. And you know what? I think the deer and a lot of other critters all over would like to put a ban on both of these chamberings.

Well since you posted it why not reply.I have them bothand love them both.The .270 is much flatter than a 30-06 and can shoot a bit further than the 30-06 but youbetter chance with many diffent animals with the 30-06 than the .270.So my vote is the 30-06.
