I, like another posted, have an Encore pistol in .308. It's a dream come true. I handload around 10% below maximum load data for rifles. The recoil is comparable to a .357 Mag, maybe less.

The receiver action is the same whether it's a rifle or pistol. The trigger is crisp and light, mines right at 2 lbs. with no creep and once adjusted; no overtravel.

I am ordering the rifle stock components and a .308 rifle barrel so I have the capability to hunt with either as I choose.

Shoot often - Hunt always

Be careful the gun grabbers are watching us!
It is illegal to transform your rifle into a pistol without prior BATF approval.
Maybe not a good idea to let everyone know what you are doing.
I personally have no problem with it, but it was brought to my attention when I was speaking of doing the same thing.
Then I went home to read the warning label on the original box and it states that you may only use barrels with a length of 16" or greater on my reciever. My original purchace was the 209x50ML.
Just thought I' d mention it.
