What does the .35 Remington do better than the 30-30, other than make a hole four- or five-one hundredths of an inch bigger, at a somewhat slower speed with a somewhat loopier trajectory?

Well, some claim that there is more knockdown power, but other than that I really do not know. I personally just stick with my 30/30. I know its capabilities and enjoy the heritige that comes with it.

As of about the past 2 months, I have had a lot more respect for the old standbys like the 30-30 and 30-06, they are fine cartridges, and have been harvesting all kinds of game successfully for many years, and will continue to do so.
