I have handled Kimber rifle and they are nice rifles, but I would find it a little light for magnum cartridges although I haven’t shot one. I do prefer the Sako rifle but either would be a good choice. Good luck...

Recoil can be affected by stock design. I have found that the lighter weight of the Montana does not translate directly into recoil. Also remember most people spend very little time shooting, and most of their time carrying their rifle. Tom.
