I've owned alot of rifles over the years and the SPS is as good or better than any of them. JMHO

+1 on the Ruger M77 MkII SS, same caliber also. Mine has the pre-2001 stock (recessed) Weaver 3x9-40. Wouldn't happen to know where I might find another one of those stocks do you? Getting kind rough finding one.
My local range has a Ruger M77 MkII SS with the recessed stock in 7mm Rem Mag. It is very slightly used and they are wanting $475 for it.

Do you like the recessed stock? It looked like it would carry a pretty heavy recoil to me.

If you are interested let me know and wecould possiblywork something out.
