which 30-06

Iam thinking of buying a new 30-06 stainless steel with a synthetic stock. I looked the Remington 700 SPS and Savage Weather Warrior 116 FHSS. Dont know what to do, any input?

I have a Ruger M77 MKII SS in 30-06 and love it. Put a Hogue OM stock, Nikon Monarch 3-9x40 and Harris bi-pod on. Total package is a little heavy, but steady and accurate. I'm sold on Ruger quality. Good luck with whatever you chose.

You can't go wrong either way, the Remington 700 SPS is a great gun, and the Savage is a great shooter.

I would go savage. Less money and will be accurate right out of the box. Love the accutrigger too.

+1 on the Ruger M77 MkII SS, same caliber also. Mine has the pre-2001 stock (recessed) Weaver 3x9-40. Wouldn't happen to know where I might find another one of those stocks do you? Getting kind rough finding one.
