The barrel is hydraulically pressed into the receiver. So? I'll never shoot any rifle enough that I need to replace the barrel. There are higher quality European rifles that use this same technique.
The trigger guard is molded into the stock. So? Never heard of this being a big deal until the nit-pickers had to find something to not like about it.

Compared to the group in the center, what practical difference is there to a group that puts 5 shots touching each other?
To show some morons on a hunting forum who maybe shoot 2 boxes of ammo a year that their deer rifle isn't up to par with a good firearm.:D

And also, you even admit that you do not shoot enough for any of these inadequacies to make a difference, so lets end this arguement right now.

111, I agree with you about the Savage and even though I have never shot a 710 personally, I am not impressed. But come on, get a life. Over 300 posts in less than 2 weeks. You need to get out and do some shooting!:D

Well, I have already filled my tags on deer, so I'm just waiting for duck season to start.

I imagine the vast majority of hunters don't shoot enough for these "inadequacies" to make a difference. Never even heard of "shooting out a barrel" in all the message board posts I've read until someone went looking for something bad about the 710.

You're "argument" is like suggesting that a car with 2 cup holders and 3 more horsepower is significantly better than another.

Ridiculous, but it's always fun to tweak the gun snobs. :D

There's nothing wrong with that grouping. Zero it and they'd all be in the red.

Pressed barrels are nothing new. Just not common in American firearms. And they can be replaced, just not something most gunsmiths in the U.S. are used to doing.

Intergral trigger gaurd. So what? I'm really not understanding why this makes any difference at all. It's one of the things that people say they don't like about it, but it doesn't make any real difference. Unless you are looking to exchange the stock. But, as far as I know, no one is making a replacement stock for it yet. It's just one of the "new" things that people pick on about this rifle.

For an under $400 rifle, under an inch at 100 yards is more than adequate. It's about average for most hunters anyway.

And by the way, Remington is still making them. Plans to continue making them. Must be selling a couple.

Well, if you notice the little smiley faces, that means I wasjoking, but it does appear that something struck a nerve doesn't it?

Why don't you go back and read your posts in this thread? You will see that you made your pointSEVERAL times. So you think the 710 is a piece of junk, fine you said it. But then when someone comes on and trys to share that they have had a good experience from their 710, there is no need to belittle them by your childish comments. Again, personally, I wouldn't buy a 710, but if someone else wants to and they have good luck with it, more power to them.

You really need to run this next post of yours by your mama to make sure she approves. :D:D:D Ah, nuther joke. :D:D:D

I think your the one acting childish, are you not? Why should it matter how many times I post? He was sharing his experience to try to make me look like an idiot. Do you think the groups he got with his 710 were very good? No they were not, and my mother and father passed away earlier this year, or else I would run it by her.:D:D
