Thanks to everyone! A special thanks to my bro-in-law, SW Iowa Hunter, and his brother for helping on the drag and cutting up the deer with me. I hope to get the pics tomorrow night and will try to post them on Sunday. Good luck everyone.

Congrats on the buck!

I will get out a bit on Saturday but am not expecting anything great. It hit 83 degrees today and rained me out this evening.

I had 4 guys from PA hunting in Pike County this week on a farm that has been very good in the past. They did not have the best week to hunt with rain for 3/5 days and temps up to 83 today. They still got on some deer and missed 4 bucks and one doe.

Temps are to slowly drop in the next week or so. Rain is still planned for 2 or 3 days next week. Maybe things will perk up.

Good luck all!

Hey guys there is my deer. Thanks to my bro-in-law for posting it. Good luck guys on the hunts. Things should really start to get interesting the next couple of weeks. I have seen a lot of deer movement the last few days. I am going out Thursday night with bro-in-law to try and get his hunt on tape. Hopefully he can call in a good one. I am also going to take out his brother sometime this weekend and see if I can rattle him up a good one. I would be surprised if one of them doesn't kill a 130+ deer in the next two weeks. There are alot of good deer here and they should be able to get on at least one of them. Good luck everyone, bring home the horns.

Nice looking buck, Woodline!

Hunted a state park over the weekend...saw only does. Weather hasn't been the best to hunt lately. Not getting out again til Sat. morning, but taking three days off next week and two the following week. Was able to put out a scent dripper in my honey hole Monday afternoon. Corn is still up though. It's rained so much in the last three weeks in Central IL...sucks!
