Jbra from team 6 shot a nice 8. Looks like they took the early lead, but we will not let it last too long! Good luck everyone!

I was just wondering how you folks that are already hunting are faring? I need some stories to keep me going the next couple of weeks. I hope you are all having some luck and getting closer to that elusive monster we all want to shoot.

It looks like team 8 has a 13 point on the ground. It's starting to heat up now. Just two more weeks for me. Good luck everyone!

I took my MANDATORY doe on Saturday. Stalked to within 15 yds. A small fine eating doe! We have "Earn A Buck here in NJ. Certain zones require the harvest of a DOE first. Now I am ready for some antler...

My first trip out was a good one...

Congrats jerseyjoe!! Do you have to wait a special # of days before you can harvest a buck, or can you technically shoot a doe in the morning, then go out that same night and get a buck? Just curious. We don't have the "Earn a Buck" law here in IL. How long has the law in NJ been like this?

Thanks!!!
Once the deer is tagged, you can go back out for either another doe or buck. EAB has been in effect for I believe 5 or 6yrs maybe. It has increased the age class of bucks.

Congrats on the doe jersey. I've been out doing some last minute scouting and finding some early season scrapes and a good number of early rubs. Things are lookin up for the seasons open on the 2nd. Two more weeks [:@]

Good job joe! Looks like you are ready to get us started and on the board.

I'll get my first chance on October 2. I'll be hunting does, but will whack a good buck if he comes along.

I have 8 shooters on tape, maybe one will stop by and visit that first day.

Good luck all!
