I plan on putting a tag in the 1st bruiser that gives me a chance It is so hard to say as I am not sure exactly where I am going to be on the first day yet! I still havn't really been scouting much in my "honey hole" as I have been seeing bigguns everywhere else. I do know that there is a wide 10 in my "honey hole" that I saw a few times about a month ago.

This afternoon I went to the pro-shop and picked up a dozen 28.5" Gold Tip XT Hunter 75/95's. While there, I also picked up a pack of G5 Montecs b-heads. I havn't got a chance to shoot them yet, but these things look great. I picked out my best 5 arrows and put the 3 b-heads in them. Then, I just decided to spin test them, thinking that I would need to make adjustments tommorow and much to my suprise, they spun true!

Also, I just put Simms String Leechs on the Liberty (the factory silencers finally wore off). I went out and shot about 20 minutes ago and WOW, this thing sounds like a feather falling, there is nothing My bow now has more Simms products than any other bow out there I have string leechs in the cables and string. I have the factory bowtech limb dampeners right at the fork on the limbs, and where the limbs taper down, I have Simms Stealth LimbSavers! I have a Alpine SoftLoc quiver bracket mounted on my bow (this thing acts like a giant limb saver). In the front stabilizer hole I have an 8" Stealth Hunter Stabilizer and in the back hole, I have a Simms Stabilizer Enhancer. I also have Simms Mini LimbSavers on my sight and my arrow rest. Heck, I think that my bow is more rubber than metal

I am gonna shoot the Monetcs tommorow evening and see how they do, if I like them, I am gonna pick up another pack and the sharpener!

Buck Magnet....

I shot the montecs last year and i loved them , they shoot so great for fixed BH's . This year however i have been shooting the new razorbaks . I am ready down here , got all my stands ready to go , wont go to them til opening day , and tonight when i went spotting , saw a nice 10 pointer , about 18 inches wide with 10 inch g2's atleast!

I am so ready to hunt , but it just cant come any slower ! and i know the season is gonna fly by , i mean i plan to tag out on my buck opening day !

that sounds like a PLAN there Double... and Buck Magnet i think that you shoudl put your tag on the first deer that you see fit. dont change yoru hunting for this thing. i think that what the one thread said about team depth, and the orders of how they rank hunters... we have about 5 pro's and 4 second tier hunters and ME the one who is in between. i dont think that any of us will get skunked. i seriously think we will all get something! and set a standard for years to come for this contest.

and Double you are 110% correct this season coudlnt come any slower. i think im counting the seconds down now. geesh 1,732,500 seconds left till opening day! and then i still have another 6 hours to wait.. that night will be one full of tossing and turning and big monster deer dancing in my head!

A dozen does and not one buck. Weather was perfect, I just was out of place I guess. Going tomorrow morning and if the wind is right, hunting my favorite evening stand. I'm going to put the time in...it has to pay off.

Thunderstorms this morning. Still went out a little late just to support the team, but as you can see, I'm back in and its raining like crazy. All the deer movement stopped and they have bedded down wherever they were. The true unfortunate thing, is that it will be two weeks before I can get back out. So goes hunting.

yup that makes it about the same time we all get to go out! i cant wait. i have been seeing some more sign, i think all the deer in my area either are fully done with shedding of the velvet or almost done i have seen some smaller bucks that are free of velvet and a few larger ones that have it dripping off of them like it was a snakes skin. good luck guys.

has anyone started shooting every day? i have tried i used to get out about every other to 3rd day now its pretty much any free time i get even if its only 5 minutes to shoot 6 arrows. the shoulder is feeling great.

has anyone heard from Rack-Attack?
