Saw a monster over the weekend. No luck calling him in though. Probably a 140-150 class 10 pointer. Monster in my book anyway.

Im tagged out so I have to wait on gun season to get back out but a couple friends of mine have seen alot of deer and they say the rut is kicking in. One of them took a nice thick beamed 2 1/2yr old 8pt with his bow Sunday morning, probably score 105-110. Another had a basket 8pt chase 5 does next to his stand Saturday morning and he took one of the does(actually a b-buck) since we have see a bigger buck in there recently.
I actually sat in my stand Saturday evening behind my house and took a male red fox from 25yds. Planning on getting it full body mounted.

Cant wait till Saturday to finally get back in the woods to hunt. Im devoting the next 2 months of season to an albino yearling I saw at one of my hunting spots just before season. No more bucks allowed for me this year so if Im gonna have to take an antlerless deer its gonna be this one!

Way to go! A buck with half a rack is better than no rack at all!

Hey Guys, sorry I haven't posted sooner but I've been pretty busy. Tuesday night was an awesome day for me. I shot a half rack. It wasn't the monster I was hoping for but it's my first buck with my bow so I'm pretty excited. It scored a 28 5/8. On the side with the broken antler there is about a 1-inch stub sticking up. Anyone know if your supposed to count that, because the guy that I work with at Gander didn't count it, so I just wondering if your suppose to. I'll post some pictures and the full story about how it happened soon.

Good Luck Guys

No it doesint count. Its just like shooting a spike. The antlers have to be 3 inchs long to be considered a buck. The broken antler is not a tine. It has to be 3 inches long be counted. Technically your buck is a 3 point but will give it to ya..lol. I got that 10 point tonight with like 15 inch long g2's. I dont know if I'll have enough time!
