Anoying Noise on miss vixen (boink)
It has about drove me nuts! i have shot it with sling on and sling off. with sling on its not as pronounced! just happens that it was real quiet today around in the yard and i could hear it very well. [&o]i found the cause and did away with the part. it was a swivel setup you use on the end of semi-auto's. the person who was a prior owner had put this monstrousity on the rail underneath to attach a sling. now miss vixen is fairly quiet, as Death itself![][:-]

Thumper, you got that stock from me. If youns down to swivel noise on an xbow, well, you is ate up or are OD'ing on venison steaks.
Rib over, lol, I'm going to Hot Springs this w/e to assemble a new Emax and hunt out of that shed blind that gave me a gimme last year. Yeah, I know, sitting in a comfortable chair, drinking coffee, heater blazing if need be, reading a paper back, ain't exactly hunting, but a crip has gotta do what works, lol.
Look at it like this, Mike, the more I gig on my own, the less charity I need from you, lol.

I don't have a Vixen Mike but I sure hate the sound the rear swivel stud makes when it contacts the stock on the Pheonix. A very unpleasant unnatural sound. I think it gonna cost me a 160 inch deer.Well I doubt that but hey who knows. Are you familier with the sound..??

Mike.. So you take the little metal piece off the sling and just tie the sling to the swivel stud?? Makes sense and would eliminate that hollow sound. I will have to look it over..

yes i took metal swivels off & run the sling back with just the end loops and tied them thru the stud hole with a shoe string [8D]
