Guilty as charged, lol. When i entered this phase of my xbow love affair, pre-computer [for me] I'd owned 5 in the past. Grabbed a Cabelas catalog and did the "two finger" search. One on price, the other on fps, just like a lot of other uninformed. When I found 345 fps for $345, I thought I was in hog heaven. I'd never heard of Excal or 10 pt at that time, among others. The same day I'd ordered the cheapy, I heard about Excals and knew I'd have to see for myself. They both came the same day. Naturally, I got an Emax. I really liked it, but what a bruiser! lol. 300 fps is fine for me, I still have some 446 gr wrapped Greywolf customs I use for hunting which probably put me closer to 285 or 290.
