From what their instructions say there is a method of cocking this thing silently. The reviews seem to be nothing but shining on this bow. One thing I have to check on and I am not too thrilled with is that they note several times that the bow is not to be left cocked which means that the sitting for hours in the stand cocked and loaded is not recomended...kinda kicks it as a US hunting bow anyway. I will get more details on this...
