RE: Lumi Zone fogging
I never bring my weapons in the house in winter they stay in the garage or barn where the temp is consistant with the hunting conditions I never bring my muzzle loader in where it's warm that's just asking for a condinsation hang fire my lumizone has fogged once on the outside but I will have to say it was a nice buck, big deer and Heather Locklear tend to induce heavy breathing

"I have been tracking all warranty at Excalibur and the Lumi-Zone has been the most trouble free model ever (and we get about .05% of all scope models sold back for warranty which is outstanding) and I have had very few come back due to fogging problems, maybe 3. I also have been using a Lumi-Zone this season and it worked perfect. We're happy with the quality of our scopes."
From the Excal marketing rep. Lets put this one to rest.

Just brought the Vortex in,I can still see thru the L-zone no fogging, will let it thaw out abit(snow all over it)then look thru it again.....
My driveway is on top of a hill with no cover so it got a good cold weather beating from the wind and blowing snow, forgot to take the quiver off so now I will need to clean the BH's and put olive oil on them(virgin)....Thats what I use on all my BH's.......

Thanks for the test Ranger. I agree it's really cold. Zero right now and that's the warmest it's been. Was heading for the fish house just down the hill but chickened out. Partly from the cold but mostly because of the high pressure system that's moved in. Seems it's never good fishing during such a high. Guess I'll work up a load for one of my hand cannons.

I've got a Vari-zone on my Vixen and a Lumi-zone on my Phoenix and haven't had any fogging. In fact, several times I walked out of the house my glasses fogged but my scopes haven't. I've used a lot of different scopes in my time and I'll rank the "Zones" up there with my Leupolds.

I had the same problem with my vari-zone earlier this year. I Called Excalibur at 800-463-1817 and they sent one out the next day (from Dan Miller in OH) once recieved I just sent the defective one back to Ohio. I got mine in three days for just a few bucks of shipping charges. GREAT SERVICE.
