To me I am somewhat utilitarian in my hunting implements. That is I buy the best I can, which will provide me with great results. I will not probably become "addicted" as the cross-bow is more of an excuse to do what I love... hunt. It will give me more time in the woods!
Having said that, do you guys hunt with other "tools". Here is a list of my tools of the trade...
Deer Rifle - Kimber Longmaster Classic (.243)
Varmint Rifle - Rock River Arms Varminter (.223) - AR Variant
Muzzeloader - Thompson-Center Omega (50-calibur), thumbhole/fluted
Rifled Shotgun - H&R Slugster Deluxe (20-gauge)
Turkey Shotgun - Camo Mossberg 500 (12-gauge)
Compound Bow - Diamond Liberty (55-pounds)
Cross-bow - Excalibur Vortex
Target Pistol - Kimber Team Match (.45 ACP) - 1911 variant
Self-Defense pistol - Springfield XD (9mm) w/M-6 light/laser
CCW pistol - Kahr PM9 (9mm)
rimfire pistol - Ruger Mark II
Upland Shotgun - Ruger Red Label (12-gauge), english stock
I guess that would be my go-to list.
