Or you can shoot it like the romans did for distance,use your feet and draw it back with your hands while lying on your back.....I think that qualifies as a horizontal bow.
You will be shooting 500 yrds in no time...............

I doubt I would hunt with it, I seem to really enjoy practicing.. I see it as another way to enjoy doing something I love, being outside and honing skills.. I have spent way too much time understanding my crossbow to even consider leaving it behind for a hunt, a hunt I have never done yet.
