I'm thinking of buying a new cb. How much, if any, noise difference there is between a recurve compared to a compound. I have an old PSE I used to hunt with. Haven't used it in years, because after it was put up for a while it won't shoot with any accuracy.

If you shoot the animal at an appropriate range then the deer will be expiring before it hears the shot.
Compound bows are generally more quiet. But then again to who, the shooter or the shooted? LOL! My bows are as quiet as I like them. I think that because most recurves are Excals that they are more noisey to the shooter because of the design of the stock.

recurves are supposed to be a little quieter than wheeled xbows. they're both noisy. i would'nt let that even factor in on your decision on which to buy. not enough difference to matter.[8D]
