In Squirrel's defence, he's had some problems. Mostly because he shoots a lot and I mean a lot!

We got the Excal Vixen for my youngest son for Christmas. He really likes the Vixen, and shoots it quite well for just starting out. We had tried an old Bear Devastator, and it was heavy, cumbersome, the safety setup was very inconvenient, the peep was too small and would move, accuracy was a big challenge, etc. The Vixen is light, powerful enough, easy to cock, even without the rope cocker which we do have. It seems very accurate and repeatable. The safety is in a very convenient location, and functions perfectly. We are very pleased with the Vixen.

Auctually I think if a person could afford it the Phantom would be a great first crossbos. because it employs all the safty features to keep them from making possible mistakes .
doubble safty, trigger box and forstock, antidryfire, feature, and with an accudraw on not as much chanse of having a like dryfire condition if you were to loose grip while cocking, plus the bow would come with everything the person needed right in the case to go out and start shooting, no running back to the proshop because you forgot this or that..

I will stand next to the barrel after I say this... But... That is how I know the whole thing is alot of BS!!! Some one recommending a product that they have not even used or has yet to be sold? I understand brand loyalty but how can you make a recommendation like that? I just do not get it!

I seen some people last spring endorsing a product that they have never shot, then a few new people come in and make some sour post and then I see the same people recommending another product they have not shot?!?! Just blows me away is all??? I will admit I have endorsed excals on the word of trust I have with three good friends on here that if they say good, i want to believe them. But when I have endorsed Excal I always say "I have never shot one, but the guys on here seem to be happy and good people". This all may sound way off base coming from me, been trying to stay quite for some time now. But as said above, endorsing a product that one has not used and no one has, justblows me away. Sorry, I will put lid on after I crawl in!
