I have a Barnett and it has never done me any wrong. My bolts group pretty tight when I am target shooting and I have never had any weird problems i.e. bolts falling out of place, misfires, etc... You do have to wax the string quite a lot, though.
In Squirrel's defence, he's had some problems. Mostly because he shoots a lot and I mean a lot!
