Squirrel, are you nuts? The Phantom and the Stryker are not beginners bows. Ya gotta go see a doctor or a witch doctor or maybe acupucnture (in the head).
I appologize for the slip of the young mind but the Excalibur Vixen is just about perfect. Ask Randy(10ptCrossbow) what a newby 10 point would be.
Thomas go and fart in a tent! A Phantom or a Striker????? If I was your dad, you'd be cleaning the udders for two months for that one!
Killzone, check the prices on the internet. The boys will give you some advice soon.

i musta forgot to put the little [8D]smilie at the end of the post[&:]sorry dnk! Dont buy the last two, the both cost over 1,500 and are for more experianced xbowers. the other two cost around 3 or 4 hundred. whatever you do stay AWAY from barnett! If you think you like a crossbow, come here and post it so we can tell you what we think about it. Most of us have more than one crossbow and some have more than one type of crossbow. good luck! i'd go with the vixen personally, altough my legend has taken 2 does so far

Don't forget about the TenPoint Titan. There is also the Fusion which looks to be a pretty good deal.

whatever you do stay AWAY from barnett!
I have a Barnett and it has never done me any wrong. My bolts group pretty tight when I am target shooting and I have never had any weird problems i.e. bolts falling out of place, misfires, etc... You do have to wax the string quite a lot, though.
