I am John (Always have been) and Brian has been Brian since he first became a member which was yesterday. He has not been around long enough to throw in the barrel. Geez.... I hope we don't run the poor guy off this quick. Where is the love. As that great statesman once said " Can't we all just get along."He post was titled "HELP" and we are driving the bus over him. Where is the love..

Planter, I'm certainly not trying to run riggsb (Brian) off in fact he's welcome to any help that I can be to him but when he first logged in on this site his name was listed as John, for whatever reason, notBrian. I looked it up when you were asked how you knew his name! Strange, that's all.[8D]

riggsb, reguarding your situation, maybe you would do well to just sight in with broadheads and shoot broadheads only. It certainly takes out any guess work. Like I've said, I believe in practicing with what I hunt with, you can't go wrong. Again JMHO.

I've had similar problems with broadhead grouping, but not as severe as your's. I would suggest one of two options.
Option 1: Get some high-quality mechanicals that are designed to perform at 300+ fps. With mechs that use O-rings, they often recommend to put 2 rings or rubber bands on for fast setups.
Option 2: Get some low-profile broadheads that should work better. Slick Tricks are the best I've found at shooting right with my field tips, but there are some other heads out there that probably work just as well. NAP makes a couple of low-profile heads that are supposed to shoot well out of fast bows (one is called "Triton", I think, I forget what the other one is called).

What type of bolt are you shooting? If it’s aluminum it’s possible that it is bent a tad. That would account for you bolt hitting all over the place. Depending on which way you sat it in your rail would determine which direction it flew.
With your broadhead in the bolt, put the tip on a table and spin the bolt. If it wiggles at all, it could be a bent bolt or maybe the broadhead is not centered well. Don’t give up, just eliminate issues and you’ll find the source.
