Nutz, I have been doing a lot of looking and handling of X-Bows and this is what convinced me.

Late once again! Dnk gave you good info, I shoot a horton supermax 175 and love it! Dnk and Awshucks seem to have good luck with there excals and have yet to hear anything bad about them. Like squirrle said I to have yet to see any excaliburs around here in ohio or any dealers that know anything about them. We shoot hortons and any bow shop in ohio has strings and all sorts of upgrades and things for hortons, but that is just ohio and horton has been well established here. Since you are close to canada maybe excals are in your area. But horton or excal and you cant go wrong, Having less moving parts on a bow can only help ya. And things like reb shows only make them look better, but then again I never had a horton string fail.

excaliburs are easy to maintane, easy to replace parts, and is reliable, yet expensive.

Excals are expensive???????

Actually 10 pt has quite the loyal following. Donno why. They are supposed to be a well built xbow and really haven't heard of many problems with them. Still at the price its hard to resist the Vixen. The real bummer is the width. Almost didn't buy an Excal because it that. Glad I did tho. Still going to buy a Vixen for sure.
