Red Dot Scope, are these dots where they should be?
Well my cross bow came today and I have a question about the Red Dot sight. The three red dots in the scope are very close together. I mean very close. They are separated but not by much. Is this normal? I would have thought that there would be more spacing between them.
In my mind the center dot would be centered of course, but the top dot would split the difference between the center and the top of the scope. The same for the bottom.
The brand is the Horton Red Dot Multi-A-Range 4x32

Mine are close together also. For the distance you will be shooting, the spacing is right. If it was on a rifle, I could see the spacing being further apart.

I have do not have a three dot on my horton, I have a multi range scope on my 175 max. My one friend got a new legend 150 ( I think) last fall and it came with a three dot horton scope also. If I rember right the top dot, which should be the bigest is centered and on top and the they all go down from their and get smaller. I had him use the top/big dot for twenty yards and adjusted his sights for the top dot. When we were done the next dot was right on thirty and the bottom one was on forty. When you adjust the scope Im not sure if all three adjust together but I it seemed like they did. His top was on twenty and the rest were all right on. Was going to get a three dot when my new CB came this year but I fell in love with my multi rectical scope. Hope this helps.

Thank you,
I guess for some reason I just thought the dots would be farther apart. There is very little space between them but when you consider how fast the arrow is moving, it won't take much elevation to get another 10 yards.
Thanks again.

This is Y I don't like the dot scopes. On the multi reticle scope is the
only way to go. Besides BATTERIES! When did batteries come into hunting
other than your flashlight. My buddy had a hard time adjusting to his red dot
he changed over after he shot over or under a few!

Green Pea, I did forget to mention one thing about yourred dot that rack tracker brought up, Batteries!! I had a single dot red dot on my old horton and I liked it but it really sucks when you get up in your stand and go to turn your sights on and realize you never turned them off from the last hunt! The first year with mine I bet I did it four times!![:@] But you will be happy, just turn it off.
