i love cast iron and when i season i like to grease it well heat it till the oil smokes then pour a bunch of kosher salt in the pan. grab a towel and rub the snuff outta it in circular motions. when your down you just rinse out the salt and dry. don;t forget to coat the pan with a light oil glaze so it don;t rust
