elk camp meals

Default elk camp meals

if you are planing meals for a 7 day hunt. that would not take to long to make and clean up after. what would you cook for each day for dinner. over a fire or on a stove. for 5 to 8 hunters ? thanks ron

I love to cook...and consider myself pretty good at it...but after a hard day of hunting I love simple canned food. Something like Beans and weiners or chili.

Not only are they nutritious and filling...they make beautiful music in the sleeping bag! LOL

Also, don't forget about baked potatoes and corn on the cob...if you can find it. They both do really well on a fire.

Venision Stew, chili, pasta/sauce, soups, beans, sausage, perogies, burgers, veggies and bread. We also smoke a roast and use it for sandies(do it at home). I also like PBJ's while hunting.

i would say take some oil, and put it in a pot and bring to a boil and put cubed deer or whatever other red meat in and fry.
