I know it doesn't quite count as bowhunten but to him it was the closest he'll get till he can pull 40 lbs(state minimum).We (me -n- my buddies)had him shooten from 10 to 15 yds out(bout max range of his lil brave scout compound).Anyhow he pulled off a 132 with 3 12 ring shots.Not bad at all considering he shoots instinctive (said sights got in his way)just like I do.I had a blast watchen him and had more fun with him there then when without.....granted i had a lousy day and shot a 120(he reminds me often he out shot me)but later found my nock point had moved up roughly 1/8th inch throwen my tuning outa wack.Regardless though he was the top dog for the day....hopefully next season he will be able to go..if not theres always the one after that...lil guy is ichen to really go deer hunten

It's a good feeling when your kids like to get involved. And now we have another archer!

Thats awesome Ouchigan. Getting your kids involved, thats what it is all about. Although I dont have kids yet, but I did manage to get my wife involved. She is also a natural like your son at Archery. She is looking forward to her first hunt.

Ouchigan, I take my 6 yr old son shooting 3D. We have a ball. He calls the animals before shooting. He's gotten 2 trophies so far, and is almost as proud of them as I am. It takes a little longer to shoot with him, but that's not all bad. Getting our kids involved in the outdoors is very important, IMO.
