Today was youth day up here where juinor hunters can shoot any deer they see. I took my son out and he got to see a moose and one deer. After taking 3 shots to hit he got himself a nice spikehorn.I swear it was the dumbest deer I ever saw... He shot and missed it and the deer run a little ways down a skidder trail and stopped. He shot and missed and the deer hopped out in the middle of the skidder trail and started walking towards him. Then he shot and got it after I told him to just relax.. Here is a pic of him with his deer..

Congrats on the first deer, and keep encouraging him to go to the woods with you. The sport will die if we dont get the youth to love the outdoors like we do.

Congrats to him, he will soon learn to take the deep breathe and ex-hale to calm the nerves for that split second. It will all come with experience.
