your not a bad hunter. but if you are with poachers and don't report it to the local law enforcement. then your a poacher too in my book.

I would not associate with your friend or family if they commit these type of crimes. Legally and ethically speaking, you should turn him in to the authorities.

Even law enforcement would consider, "Birds of a feather, flock together". I'd part company with them, but quick!

If you don't, you'll soon find yourself finding some sort of justification for their wrong doings.

We all have to abide by the laws of the land. If you don't like the laws, then you need to take it up with your representatives to see about getting them changed.

Good hunting, Bowhunter57

I turned in my Uncle for poaching a long time ago. I don't think poaching is right and it don't matter who it is. Call your loacl G&F and report it if its bothering you that much. If nothing else, a call/visit from the G&F might sober him up to the wrongness of poaching.

I am with the others on this turn him in.
You are just lucky a warden did not come just after the shot or all of you would have landed in the deep end.

What he done was a serious crime and he deserves everything he gets in my books.

I had an ex-buddy that got caught spotlighting a mechanical deer decoy. His friend never got out of the truck. When this guy shot at the deer lights came on and game wardens came out from everywhere. Both were handcuffed and taken to jail. Both were treated as if they had done the shooting together. Both lost their hunting licenses, guns, and paid hefty fines. One definatley deserved it and I was glad to see him get caught. The other was in the wrong place at the wrong time and even though he had nothing to do with the crime (He even asked the other guy not to shoot the deer) still had to suffer the consequences.

If you don't turn this guy in you should at least talk to him about what he did and give im your opinion. You're in a very tough spot so go with your feelings on this and do what you feel is right.
