Rubbing Alcohol for scent control?
I guy I know swears by it. He says shower with scent free soap, use scent free deo., and then spray down with Rubbing Alc. before going into the woods. He said it kills the bacteria that causes odor, and has no scent after drying? Anyone heard of this? Definatly 1 of those tricks that you would never hear about from the Pro's!

RE: Rubbing Alcohol for scent control?
I tried a formula I picked up from this website that worked like a charm. Water (2 cups), Peroxide (2 cups), Baking Soda (1/4 cup) and hunting shampoo (1 oz.) The peroxide kills the bacteria, the baking soda acts like a deodorant and the shampoo gives the formula some stickability.
The first time I used it a buck came right to my ground blind and didn't smell me! He was within 5 yards and just stood there for a couple of minutes.
I'll bet the people selling the $14 per bottle scent eliminator are using a very similar formula and I payed about $1 for a bottle. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
