Bowtech Allegiance waiting list?
#1
How long do you guys have to wait to get your Bowtech Allegiance? I went up to the shop today and asked for a 28" 70 lb Allegiance. They went in the back room and brought it out. I bought it minutes later! I did not shoot it before I bought it though. I went on your guys words. The reason I did not shoot it was because the people couldn't figure out how to put the rest on! They let me take it home and test it there. I bought it before they finished the sentence. I shot it and they are not getting it back!
I do have one question. How do I change the draw length? The shop I usually go to isn't experianced in Bowtech bows, and I am not going to let the other shop even touch it!
I feel sorry for all of you guys that are still waiting for your bows.... NOT!

We'll I just got back checking my draw length. I tilted my head back a little and it fits perfect. I forgot how to shoot since I haven't shot in so long!
Are you sure they are draw length specific, because the people at the shop said that it could be moved down to 27". Isn't there a draw stop?

The draw stop only changes the dl by a quarter inch or so, maybe a half, and it also changes your let-off. Congrats on your new bow, but wow never heard of a shop that couldnt figure out how to put a rest on! I didnt have to wait for mine either, I walked in, he handed it to me and I shot it for quite some time, then ended up buying it, I love mine.

Yes, there s a draw stop but as Angus said moving it will also change your let off. If you shorten the draw stop you will decrease your let off and valley.

Yes, the draw stop on the top cam will change the draw approx a half inch if adjusted all the way. It will also give you 65% let off. I wanted 65% let off and bought new cams to achieve this. Just bought E4 cams, 28.5 draw instead of the E5 28 in draw that came on the bow. The valley is almost gone, and is easier to draw yet. Oh, and the cams are cheap. 60 bucks for the pair. Took about 2-3 weeks for delivery.

You can get about a full inch of adjustment from the drawstop, but you won't want to. It messes with your valley and your let-off. You probably won't be able to get it all the way down to 27" maybe 27.5" but you'll have like no let-off
There is only about a 1/4" of good adjusting.
