Stone, 295 is not the speed he's getting. That's the IBO rating. A hunting setup will get substantially less, maybe like 235 to 250fps depending on the setup. That being said, it's still enough for any deer, or most any critter on this continent out to 30 yards, assuming he can place the shot in the vitals that far out.
