That's funny about the Indian Stalker Compound Bow. I still have mine in my closet and actually hunted with it up until last year.

I also had a Baker climbing tree stand that was pretty scary back then.
lol...........I had some very scary moments with my old Baker too. I used the old Fred Bear razor heads also and my first arrows were easton gamegetters. That was 25 years ago. I didn't get into bow hunting until my late 20's. My first bow was a Bear Blacktail. Archery sure has come a long way since then.

My first rabbit hunting excursions as a kid were with a Ben Pearson 45# longbow and fiberglass arrows.

As for the old Bakers? They gave a better adrenaline rush than any drug on the market! There's nothing like climbing 20ft up a tree and trying to settle the stand in and dropping 10ft real fast.[]

Oh, I forgot,Before my Laminatred Bow I had a couple Long Bows-all wood & of course a Paul Bunyan solid fiberglass recurve. Anyone remember the all Aluminum Grimes bows?
Some old timesrs probably shot the Herters line of Bows back then too-early 60s.

I still have one hanging in my garage. I have not used it in around 20 years but am afraid to sell to someone in case they kill themselves with it. I have been using a quality ladder stand the last few years but with my new interest in bowhunting again, I will need to buy a new climber. I hope they are safer and easier to use nowadays.

Terry, have no fear. Climbing stands are like in the stratusphere compared to old Baker. Might I suggest looking at the Summit Viper X4? Comfort and stability.

I still have a couple dozen of the Micro flites and Graphflex arrows. does anyone remember when Duke savora had his alluminum camoflage arrows ? They were way before the esaton shafts were camoed.
We used to take the bus into Montclair (N.J.) from Paterson and go to Robin Hood Archery on Saturdays to get archery gear. Back then there were no Compounds, only Recurves and Longbows. I still have some of the old Howard Hill arrows and broadheads.
When I started the broadheads that were popular were the Hilbres (Super hilbre had a bleeder blade), Bear Razar Head, Bodkins, Browning made a head called the Serpentine, I remember the advertisement said it would cut a figure 8 out an apple. No one could get that head sharpened. The Pearson Dead head was my favorite.
