Looks like they might need to post the forum rules on top for awhile , again!

To answer your question , $250 for a 10 point is a steal. Just watching the few guys who shoot 10 points at the range -vs- the other brand x-bows , I'd have to say that the 10 points are the top of the line.

killer243 Crossbows are not that fast and because of the shortness of the arrows they don't have great arrow flight for the most part.

Nothing beats a modern compound bow - nothing. On the 3D course, hunting ........ theres no comparison, thats why most bowhunters still use compounds -

Joe, you did take it the wrong way, but that's OK. I was trying to inject a little humor into this thread. My body is pretty beat up from 25 years as a millwright in a steelmill so I may have to shoot one of these crazy things someday. Right now I can still shoot 60# comfortably but use 53 instead. When I have trouble with 40# then it may be time. But for those who can't use a regular bow or are using them within the limits of their state laws I have learned not to be so judgemental.

So now we're straight on that, I hope we can be friendly. My goal on most threads is to try to be helpful---and funny sometimes. You know, some of these things can use a little humor to overcome the bashing.

I do hope the people that trash a disabled person for shooting a xbow never have to walk in our shoes.

yes I shoot a xbow because I love the outdoors and dearly love to set in the woods and wait for that buck to get into my shooting range. (that by the way is 25yards,nothing over) I like to get them in close.I have hunted in every way possible for the last 45 years.befor that I walked every step my dad made till I was big enough to be able to shoot on my own.

I know that there are some that get the permit to shoot a xbow just because they want to,not because they have to. that person should be finded by the game warden to the highest nextent of the law.same as the one that uses his or her grandmothers driving permit.

I have said enough[:@][:@][:@]

i shoot a xbow because i am disabled. I would shoot a compound if i could because xbows are noisy and the arrows do drop off quickly. I feel comfortable with my bow to take a shot at a deer at 35yds that is standing unalert. Xbows are a blast to shoot and with practice are a great deer killer!
