TeeJay you seem to think that someone buying a crossbow and hunting archery season for the first time isn't really true bowhunting. Former archer ? You don't know the two sides do you, because you've never been on each side, have you ?

I could easily say to you that if you shoot a compound after having shot a recurve for year I can see where you're a bowhunter. But if you just went out and bought a compound, then you're a faker than thinks he can shoot deer running through the woods at 50 yards.

See how easy that is ?

Datamax, first of all i have hunted with a recurve!!! Still use one for bowfishing!!!!! Second of all im talking about the poeple that rush out and buy a xbow and go out hunting with it because they found a loophole, For example one individle i know of has a xbow permit but is a self employed carpenter. Yes i said carpenter, you kno the poeple that swing hammers and throw lumber around(or shingles we all know what a bale of them weigh) I am not talking down on anyone for doing it I was giving a for example. I have known of this man my whole life and he is not the bowhunting type alright. My example the 20 yr old kid that goes to the mall with his grandmas carthat has handicap plates on it he parks in the handicap parking is it legal yes is it right no. If you are handicaped and know your limitations go ahead, dont do it because you found a loophole in the law!!!!

The "loophole" is being phased out as States more and more legalize them in regular archery season. If you shot a recurve good for you, did you make it yourself ? If not, then you're a wannabe jumping on the archery bandwagon and capitalizing on my hunting season.

See ?

TeeJay - see how easy it is to make you look like the one capitalizing on archery season after you weant through the trouble to do it to others ?

Guys who get handicap permits when they're really able to shoot compounds is not the intent of that law for sure, but it was known when it was passed that people would do it. Crossbow, longbow, recurve, compounds ............ does it really matter ? No, it doesn't, we're all bowhunters, and your comments were aimed at bowhunters and based on assumptions that were far from the normal and rare in occurence.

Oh, and you can rise from your knees, I'm not a Great One, just a guy that sees things in a larger scale than most guys and thinks for himself

Lefty, I don't know much about crossbows so I can't give you any help there and frankly I don't care what tool you use when hunting as along as yu use it safely and have a good time. That is what hunting is about.

You asked about lefthand bows for $250. They're out there you just need to keep you eyes open. My brother and I both shoot lefthanded and he just bought a used 2004 Mathews Q2 w/ all the attachments for $275 at the PA sportsmen show. My wife has a standing order to watch out for LH bows at yard sales. So far I have 6 compunds and 5 recurves. One was a Black Widow for $35 .

well i am not an xbow man myself but good luck to you this season.

just a question though: why would the bolts drop like that? they shoot faster then the fastest compounds i would think they could hold a good flight to atleast 50 yards? is it something to do with the desing of the bolts?
