I met him in PA back in 94. Really great guy. Super nice and put up with me following him around all day. I was, at the time, trying to get into the video side of commercial hunting and was picking his brains. He was very patient. His "lecture" was good too.

"Life at Full Draw-The Chuck Adams Story" was an excellent book

I just ordered "Super Slam" last week and can't wait to get it.

Was he a friendly kind of guy and did he mingle with people after his presentation?

Seemed like a nice guy. Gave honest, up front answers. However, he wasn't afraid to state how good he was (he is good so I guess that is ok). He sat and talked with people and autographed books for the 3-4 hrs before his talk.

the show is around the same time each year (still going on 'til this Sunday). search PA Outdoor show to find their website and save for upcoming years.

doughboysigep, Many of Chuck's kills are from the ground and all taken shooting fingers style. How hard is that when many people, like myself, hunt from a stand and don't do as well. The guy is an amazing bowhunter.[:-]

One thing I found interesting is that he said that the east coast deer are actually the hardest whitetails to hunt because of the terrain/environment (pine thickets, oak thickets, and swamps). So if you take one there, you have his respect. Anyone hunted both West and East in non managed areas able to compare the relative difficulty of the two areas? Compare a eastern pine forest to a western river bottom or hardwood bottom.
