One thing I found interesting is that he said that the east coast deer are actually the hardest whitetails to hunt because of the terrain/environment (pine thickets, oak thickets, and swamps). So if you take one there, you have his respect. Anyone hunted both West and East in non managed areas able to compare the relative difficulty of the two areas? Compare a eastern pine forest to a western river bottom or hardwood bottom.
