helical or straight offset fletchings

I like a helical on my hunting arrows ! It has always cracked me up around here to see people talk about "how" much they slow your arrow down at long ranges...............then 10 minutes later you see them jump in on a ethical shot post and swear they don't shoot over 25-30 yrds !
As long as your getting good rest clearnace.........I'd shoot as hard of a helical as you can !

Help me out here.....helical is when the fletching sort of wraps-around the shaft...right? What is offset? When the vane/feather goes straight..but at an angle?

tarheel you have it correct, full helical allows for the fletch to "wrap" around the shaft. Offset is inbetween helical and straight fletch.
As for helical it does provide better accuracy and any speed loss is negligible.
