We very low low populatons here in New Brunswick. and no management of the herd. We are only allowed one antler deer, there is a draw for does tags.

I average only one but this year, I was given 5 crop damage permits and I've already tagged one big doe. I'm hoping to get at least another doe on the crop damage permits before they expire at the end of Sept.
They've changed the tags this year in NY to a new systems called DECALS. I purchased the super sportsman package (bowhunting, muzzleloader and big game) so now I have 1 buck only, 1 either sex, and 1 antlerless tag. We can also now get 2 antlerless only management permits with our license so I have these too.
PLUS: the DEC could issue me 4 MORE doe tags under their new management program (which I had to, and did, apply for) since we own farms. I can only use 2 of these though. The other 2 must be issued by me to another hunter.
With the remaining crop damage permits, the new DECALS system and the management tags for the farms, I could potentially take up to 11 deer this year!

Being in PA it's only been 9 seasons that you have been allowed more than one deer per year so my total numbers are lower than some of you guys. I've killed 36 deer with my bow in the past 36 years. I've averaged 2 per year since 1993. I lived in Montana for 3 seasons and amanged1 whitetail, 2mulies, 1 bull elk and 1 bear so it's been about the same success where ever I lived. By the way. It is a known fact that 90% of the deer are annually taken by 10% of the hunters.
