I shoot a VFT and it is a very good bow. I can't compare it to the Patriot though, because I have never shot one. I do have a Mathews LX and I prefer it over the VFT. I guess because it just feels smoother and calmer than the VFT, but it doesn't seem to be as fast as the VFT. Just my 2 cents.
